Filters: WIKI RULES BUY and SELL MEET - #mechboards. I've had ergo pro for a bit less than a year, when left part started to disconnect. I tried switching connecting cables, but then backspace on the right side started to stick, so I figured out it's some more serious problem than just a loose connection. Does anyone have any ideas where should I look next to identify the problems (and how) and whether it's possible to rewire it say according to ergodox schematics, keeping the case? PS: it's completely infeasible for me to send it back over for inspection/replacement because they won't ship to my home country and it's really expensive. I've also had two Matias Ergo Pro's fail with this problem. My original failed in 10 months and they replaced the failing left half.

Failure was repeating or missing key strokes such as S and E. The left half failed again with a similar failure, S key would continually repeat. I removed all keys and cleaned everything out really well but the problem persisted.

I contacted matias support and they wouldn't replace the keyboard again even though this is apparently an extremely common problem based on amazon and reddit searches. I would argue this is a recall situation but they're avoiding it.

The flaw is pretty bad for a $200 keyboard and you only get 1 year warranty. ​ Does anyone know a fix if the problem is internal / problem with pcb board?
